The universal law says we are here to experience fun, joy, and happiness. So, if a child feels like he is at school when he is at home, he may become a bit resistant to learning new ideas. If that’s the case, then come down to his level when teaching the law of attraction. Introduce new terms slowly or hold off on the lingo altogether, opting instead to teach only the concepts of the law of attraction.

More than anything else, it’s important to show your child that the law of attraction works; when you do this, he’ll easily accept it as fact. If you meditate when making your requests, then by all means, meditate where your child can see you (as long as you can concentrate with your child in the room). When you do your affirmations, let him hear them loud and clear! When you make a request, do so out loud, during or after your meditation or affirmation session: “I am traveling to a conference tomorrow. I request of the universe a safe and productive trip.”

Teaching by example extends to all areas of your life. If you’re calm and serene at home while making your requests and focusing your energy, then strive to be calm and serene in other areas of your life. Don’t, for example, make rude gestures at the person who cuts you off in traffic. Your child will have a hard time reconciling this angry person behind the wheel with the person who’s been telling him to look at things from a positive point of view. Concentrate on exuding positivity at all moments, and your child will absorb your teachings without ever having a formal lesson!
